The Chicago Concert Winds Community Concert Band is a concert band comprised of talented amateur musicians. It performs a wide variety of music, including orchestral transcriptions, original band compositions, marches, and lighter fare. The ensemble rehearses Thursday nights on the northwest side of Chicago and gives 5-6 performances every year. There are no membership fees, and we are accessible via the CTA.
The group’s conductor, Ross Nuccio, a fine musician himself who studied tuba with Chicago Symphony legend Arnold Jacobs, has been continuously conducting bands and ensembles of all sizes, amateur and pro, since his graduation from DePaul University.
We are currently seeking musicians in all sections. Please email us at [email protected]
